Travelled: 00 kms in Busselton in Western Australia
Visited: Busselton
Stayed: Busselton Jetty CP, $47 pn, S33.64590, E115.34825
Budget: days @ $ per day
We’ve decided to spend a few days in Busselton. The Jetty CP is central to town, there are some extensive cycle ways and the waterfront picturesque. It’s not your normal CP, there are no fences or gates so you can walk out in any direction.
The second issue is the upcoming Easter break, we cannot book anywhere further north basically anything coastal is fully booked out, so there’s no point moving along any quicker.
Once we’ve settled, we go off for a walk into the centrum and get the feel of Busselton and look for a hairdresser for Pam.

Busselton’s big tourist drawcard is its 1.8 km long pier. Our travels through WA this year have highlighted several long piers, but nothing comes close to this one.
Pam’s keen for an early walk so we head off to the pier. Love that new haircut !

On our way back to the pier entry, we find they close the entry gates to the pier at 8.30 in the morning charging $4 pp after that. Luckily we had already made the cut.
Busselton has extensive cycleways north and south. We do them both during our stay. The path north to boat harbour is the most interesting. We pass some magnificent homes, some not quite in that category and the odd paint colour.

The urge for a quiet drink at the pub has us wander down to the local, The Esplanade. We settled in and extend our stay to dinner our first night out for a while.

Finally our parking spot in the CP overlooks Busselton’s Old Cemetery, as you will remember we like exploring an old cemetery. As we walk it becomes obvious Busselton was a dangerous place back when. There are several information panels that provide an interesting back story.

Anyway that was our couple of days in Busselton…

Hi Micheal and Pam,
I have just caught up reading your last 10 blogs. I dont know how you find time to blog as frquently as you do. Great photos and stories, WA is definately on our bucket list. Did you buy the pie for $8.50 ?? I know you are on a mission to review all the pies in Australia.
Stay Safe, Cheers from the Pirate.
