After a long day of flying (with the planes getting successively smaller), we arrived in Buffalo, NY. We are met by Aunty Leila who has driven across from St. Catharines, Canada to pick us up.

Our drive back is about an hour or so with a fair bit of time at the US/Canadian border. It appears the Canadian government does not like it citizen going to the US, even more so if you try to sneak a couple of Australians in the boot.

A good night sleep, an hours walk before breakfast and we are off to Niagara-On-The-Lake about 20 minutes away. We pass numerous wineries along the way. NOTL was the original provincial capital dating back to 1812. Located on Lake Ontario, near Fort George.

Anyway all that aside NOTL has been voted the most picturesque town in Canada. Every street we walk has lovely old houses, tree turning their autumn colors and squirrels running about. ย Well worth a morning when visiting the falls.
