We are very lucky, despite a very cold start to the morning the sky has cleared and the sun has a warmth to it. The river road from the escarpment has many wonderful viewing opportunities, the changing colour of the trees against the Niagara River is something special in itself.
Our first adventure is the Spanish Aerocart, a cable car that travels over the Niagara whirlpool. It is just below the main rapids downstream of the falls. It provides a great view of the river and the changing colours of autumn. Next was the behind the falls tunnel. It provides a couple of viewing points behind the falls themselves.
If you aren’t already wet enough it time for the ‘maid of the mist’. It was great fun, the noise and the wind created by the fall cannot be described by me. Calling it mist is a bit optimistic, heavy rain going in all directions would be more realistic. The short video was taken with my gopro which is waterproof. Anyway a great day of adventures.
