A tourist map of the Gaularfjellet.

The TR7 Gaularfjellet is 108 kilometres in length taking the Moskog route.  Last night we stayed at Nystรธlen which is already a few kilometres along the Gaularfjellet.

This is amazing lookout at Utsikten. It should have been our first stop, but it was bucketing down with rain. Normally we just get drizzle or the odd shower but this was real rain. We waited in the layby across the way for 15 minutes before deciding it wasn’t to be.
On these tourist drives we have found the free tourist maps are reliable as a guide. The best way to find interesting things is too stop whenever you see a panel something, like this one.
We pull up at another tourist panel and walk up the path to find this fancy aluminium bridge crossing a raging torrent.  This is Likholefossen.

A photo of the falls showing the fish ladder on the side.

We continue the rest of the Gaularfjellet without finding anything else worth stopping for.  That is not to say it wasn’t a pleasant drive.  Anyway we do some more kilometres as we hope to drive the Geiranger tomorrow.

We stop for a rest break and go for a walk over to the Stryneelva a stream running along side the 13. The water has taken on a distinct change in colour so I go over for a closer look or feel. That is cold water !

We find a spot to stay in a little picnic area at Nesje. Looks like we will have some neighbours tonight which is nice, along with being free.
Mind you I wouldn’t normally worry about paying with this view across a fjord in Norway ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด!
