Budget: 21 days @ โฌ106 per day
After spending the afternoon wandering Poole looking for a non-chemist shop line of shampoo for someone special we eventually find our way back to the Hymer and start thinking about a stop for the night. Our data-base suggests a couple of places, the closest to the ferry being in a football field car-park about 3 kms from the ferry terminal.
So we wander out and find ourselves a spot with an escape route and settle in. Itโs not the most salubrious place but itโs free.
Itโs an early start next morning as we need to be checked in at the ferry terminal before 8am for a 9am departure. Loading ferries is somewhat time consuming for motorhomes. Due to height and length we normally find we are last to load, there are only a few motorhomes but lots of small campers.
The sea is calm just how Pam likes it. Reading the blurb on the Condor Liberation, the vessel was built in WA, carries 800+ passengers and 250 vehicles with a maximum cruise of 40 knots. It really hoots along.
We do a quick stop in Guernsey, where about 3-400 people and a few cars disembark and where off again for Jersey.
Beaumont, St. Peter, Jersey
Only a few minutes after docking in Jersey, we are waved off the ferry and into the afternoon traffic of Saint Helier. Until a couple of weeks ago you needed to apply for a permit to bring a vehicle to Jersey, but that restriction was dropped. The last thing they need here is more cars.
Hideaway our RV stop is only a few miles around the bay, true to its name it was a little difficult to find as our GPS insisted we should turn left off a cliff. Coming back down the hill itโs easier to spot and we have soon settled in.
More on Jersey as we explore itโฆ

I’m looking forward to hear about Jersey we tried to get across from Saint Malo in 2010 but because of getting caught up in traffic in Saint Malo and paperwork at the terminal we missed it by a couple minutes ๐ข so looking forward to a report from our travelling companions ๐โค๏ธ
