Itโ€™s been several days since our last post so a short, fill you in paragraph.

Obviously a long drive south mostly on the M6, one of Britainโ€™s busiest roads. After an overnight stop on the canal in Birmingham and a bucket list meal at a Desi Pub, we continue south for dinner at the Red Lion in Fernhurst with Anne and Simon. Next day and not nearly as many miles later we lunch with Terry and Lelia at the Berkeley Arms in Bosham. The last couple of nights back at our usual CC+C in Bosham.

So whatโ€™s a Desi pub ? Perhaps 3 or 4 months ago Pam finds an article in the travel section of the news about the growing popularity of Desi Pubs in England. Colloquially a Desi Pub is being owned and operated by people of Indian extraction. The food is pure Punjabi but the rest of the pub is just like any other English pub.

Travelling south we set our sights on Birmingham which has several Desi pubs. Ten minutes on Google and P4N and we have a booking at the Covered Wagon and a spot for the night on the canal.

The food was spicy and the beer cold !

After all that food and catching up with the relos done, we set the GPS for Poole on the Dorset Coast and our next adventure which is just another ferry ride away.
