After our ‘gunfire’ breakfast at the Memorial Hall, we say goodbye to Waroona driving north on the South Western Hwy. The weather follows us north with a little drizzle and the odd shower.

An hour later we arrive at the CP about 4 kms from central Fremantle. We’ve booked 3 nights here. There’s a bus stop out the front and a dedicated cycle path from 100 m up the street.

We spent a day in Fremantle several years ago off a cruise ship going somewhere or other, so some of the touristy thing we’ve already done. The photos that follow reflect two days of wandering about.

We catch the free tourist bus (Blue Cat) in and out from the railway station. The weather lingers but the afternoons improve every day.
