Date: 18th September 2020
Travelled: 120 kms from Euston to Wentworth on the Darling River
Visited: Wentworth
Stayed: Willow Bend Caravan Park, $32 all services. S34.11013, E141.91990
Budget: NA
Not an early start this morning as we donโt have a long travel day ahead of us. We catch up with some email tasks and do a little planning because of the predicted weather change.
Somehow I managed to break the freezer door on the fridge yesterday. Did a little search on Google, made a phone call and a new door is on its way to Corlette. Second priority issue is we are running out of coffee !
The Nespresso Virtuo machine we borrowed for this trip makes an excellent coffee. Problem being we are not going to have enough pods. The thought of being locked in a 6m long box when Pam has not had a coffee, is a little scary. So I give Nespresso a ring and they dispatch an emergency supply to Griffith we can pick up next week.
Breakfast and coffee behind us, we ready the Winnebago and roll out heading west on the Sturt Highway.
Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia
Rolling into Wentworth we do a quick lap before finding Willow Bend Caravan Park. The lady at the caravan cark tells us itโs lucky we booked as the park is full. Luckily enough we score a vacant spot on the river bank and spent a few minutes setting up before going to explore the town.
We continue west along the banks of the Darling for 1.5 kms to Junction Park.
It was a long walk around Wentworth checking out the highlights, almost 2 hours and there are still a couple left for tomorrow. We have a relax whilst watching our neighbour fishing or at least feeding the fish as are the many pelican that swim by.
We have booked a table at the Crown Hotel for dinner.
