As we drive into Dornumersiel we see a supermarket and turn off the main road. On the GPS I see a stellplatz icon just up the street, so we continue on. It’s just how we like it, spacious, just a few other motorhomes for company and only a short walk into the village.

Small park outside the stellplatz in Dornumersiel. An old marine search and rescue boat now sits high and dry.
We have only seen a couple of small memorials to the German war dead. Here is one on Dornumersiel.
A small fleet of commercial fishing boats work the North Sea from Dornumersiel. Very brightly painted and well maintained.
We doubt there is anywhere you can stand on the Frisia Coast and not see wind turbines. In fact in many places they can be seen in groups of 20-30.
Another morning riding the sea walls, this time in Dornumersiel. Although there are a few sheep in the background of the photo, mostly it’s cows. The are pictures of cows and statues of cows everywhere, after a few days it gels that Frisia is probably where Frisian cows originate. When I get home I’ll ask our resident cow expert Brett if that’s true.
