We wake this morning to the Infinity making some sharp turns. This is the Captain navigating through the Tracy Arm bar to enter the Inner Passage. After dressing warmly we venture to deck 11. It is first light and raining steadily, as we look around a large iceberg floats slowly by. ย Pam urges we should return to our room to gather life jackets, but I suggest this could be a little premature. As the light improves two things become evident the water has turn a beautiful turquoise from the melting glacier and I am the only person wearing shorts ! ย The Infinity twists and turns along the passage for the next 4 hours. We coffee and watch this incredible spectacle unfold, until Pam says it time for the gym.
We arrive in Juneau on lunch time. There are 3 other liners already docked and the Infinity which is considerable larger is anchored in mid channel. So it’s a tender journey to town, which adds to the fun and kills a little time.ย There are 4-5 thousand tourist wandering Juneau, so after a few hours of wandering about little shops it’s a pleasure to head back to our home away from home for a supper of fresh sushi before getting ready for drinks, dinner and a show !
