The usual services. &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/E7yTFk9Z3jyNi54k6\">N49.94020, E04.63919<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a bit of a noisy night at the marina aire in Charleville-M\u00e9zi\u00e8res. &nbsp;The occasional car isn\u2019t a problem but some goose decided on playing duff, duff music across the way about 2 am. &nbsp;Anyway he went off to spread joy elsewhere after 30 minutes or so with peace and sleep returning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a couple of days up our sleeve, so rather than risk another restless night we decide to head north into the western Ardennes. &nbsp;The Ardennes is the great forest that runs across part of northern France, lower Belgium to Germany. &nbsp;We service the Hymer and head north. &nbsp;I have set the co-ordinates for an aire in Montherme on La Meuse River. &nbsp;The reviews are excellent, but unfortunately it\u2019s full when we arrive. &nbsp;As its the weekend most people wouldn\u2019t be going anywhere at this stage of the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So we continue on another 15 kilometres to Revin, also on the La Meuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_01.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We arrive at Revin finding the Aire easily enough. It all looks relatively new and everyone has a little bit of grass.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_02.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We settle in, the chairs come out. Mind you I would give the grass a cut. The view across La Meuse is not as nice as Montherm\u00e9, but is free here. &nbsp;Month\u00e9rme aire was \u20ac3.50<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_03.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Having a BBQ certainly encouraged some new friends to pop over.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_04.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Next morning we don\u2019t bother to drag ourselves out of bed too early, we wait till the sun shines through the mist. &nbsp;Then we get the bikes out.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a laundramat outside the adjacent supermarket, so we throw a load in whilst we have coffee and croissants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_101.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>After a very difficult time finding the start of the cycle path we are on our way. This section of the path follows La Meuse. In some sections a river in others it divides into a canal with ecluse or lock and weir creating the divide.<span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cycling the Meuse Canal at Revin\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bPr9cEkchH8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_102.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>This leisurely ride is somewhat dangerous as its difficult to focus on the path. At this time of year the autumn \ud83c\udf42 colours are vivid.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Revin_104.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We ride for the next 15 kilometres hoping to find a little bar\/cafe that has an advertisment poster on every second tree only to find its closed for the season.
