{"id":9198,"date":"2017-10-03T07:23:31","date_gmt":"2017-10-03T07:23:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=9198"},"modified":"2019-05-24T17:00:29","modified_gmt":"2019-05-24T07:00:29","slug":"nesselwang-germany-%f0%9f%87%a9%f0%9f%87%aa-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=9198","title":{"rendered":"Nesselwang, Germany 2017 \ud83c\udde9\ud83c\uddea"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Travelled: &nbsp;103 kilometres from Mittenwald to Nesselwang, Germany<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Visited: &nbsp;Nesselwang and it\u2019s swim centre \u20ac5pp<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Stayed: &nbsp;Nesselwang Stellplatz \u20ac10, the usual services. <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/o95haUbGbsfr7mBA6\">N47.61995, E10.49825<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After saying ggodbye to Rob and Krys we roll out of Mittenwald. &nbsp;Obviously our general direction is west for the Chunnel, but we have a couple of weeks to get there. &nbsp;The roads are better in Germany and the stellplatz more common so we continue through the Motherland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Nesselwang_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>The weather is better than this picture portrays. It\u2019s turned into a warm afternoon. Passing through Garmisch again we stop at the Lidl and stock up. Before continuing west.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>We don\u2019t have a stopping spot in mind, but after an hour we stop and check the data-base. &nbsp;Nesselwang has an good rating so we give it a go. &nbsp;We arrive to find the stellplatz full but we park in a corner and 15 minutes later someone leaves and we have our spot for the night. &nbsp;As a general comment we have seen a lot more motorhomes in Germany this year compared to last. &nbsp;The stellplatz are full every night and there always seem to be more parked in adjoining car-park etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Nesselwang_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Now we are settled we go for a late afternoon walk around the village. The trees are turning everywhere now and the colour adds to the charm.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Near the church we find the Tourist Office which is still open. &nbsp;The Nesselwang\u2019s main attraction is its cable-car up Mount Weibach and a golf course. &nbsp; Pam enquires about a pool and we find they have a heated pool and leisure centre, so that\u2019s tomorrow morning set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Nesselwang_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Church of Saint Andrew in Nesselwang.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Nesselwang_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"825\" height=\"1100\"\/><figcaption>It seems we have left the more austere Lutheran Churches in northern Germany. Again in a small village church the adornment are a visual treat. Plenty to look at during Mass I suppose.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Nesselwang_5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"999\"\/><figcaption>The Pulpit protrudes from the wall like a box at the opera.
