All services its brand new. &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/RwLJpPwKtZ7u6aL87\">N54.93553 E8.87727<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>We enjoyed a good night sleep on the banks of the Elbe River in Gl\u00fcckstadt but thought we should make an early start and try and make Denmark today. &nbsp;As we are passing the marina in the middle of town, I stop the Hymer to check something and Pam discovers the marina has free wifi. &nbsp;So we park, connect to skype and have a chat with various family members and send a couple of emails etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its about a 90 minute drive, after almost turning off for Busum instead of Husum we arrive to a very busy place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Husum_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>There is a dedicated stellplatz in the edge of town but we are not paying \u20ac12 for a couple of hours, so we drive a few hundred metres and park on the side of the road. Within minutes we are joined by others.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Husum_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>The tidal fall must be huge here, it&#8217;s running and every boat in the harbour is sitting in the mud.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Husum_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We soon establish it&#8217;s market day. The town square and all the adjoining street are full of stalls. The detail is wonderful.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems we have done Husum, as well as finding a gourmet quiche and some vegetables. &nbsp;We wander back to the Hymer and have lunch in situ before continuing north.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Husum_8.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>This picture is for Rodney, a man who loves a good gherkin.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Unsure about the price of diesel in Denmark we fill up a few miles short of the border. &nbsp;Its the cheapest fuel we have seen for a couple of days. &nbsp;Every village along this last few kilometres has a huge alcohol supermarket, looks like Denmark will be the place to start using our stash of cheap beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Denmark_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Five years of motorhoming and we still get a buzz from crossing the frontier into a new country. &nbsp;Bunch of Danes in the bus looking for cheap beer and wine.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mogeltonder_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We pass quickly through T\u00f8nder and on to M\u00f8geltonder. &nbsp;The Hymer loves the cobbles.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/M\u00f8gelt\u00f8nder_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>The M\u00f8gelt\u00f8nder Kirke desribed in the Lonely Planet as a lavish feast for the senses.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mogeltonder_1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>The graveyard adjoining the kirke. The stories of the bible are visually represented everywhere.
