{"id":6851,"date":"2017-07-24T16:08:39","date_gmt":"2017-07-24T16:08:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=6851"},"modified":"2019-05-21T08:12:47","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T22:12:47","slug":"enkhuizen-holland-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=6851","title":{"rendered":"Enkhuizen, Holland 2017 \ud83c\uddf3\ud83c\uddf1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Travelled: 45 kilometres from Hoorn to Enkhuizen in Holland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visited: Zuiderzee Museum, Enkhuizen \u20ac16pp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stayed: Enkhuizen Yatch Haven, \u20ac10.50 water and toilet. <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/UtHGf4hne8vpuQpL9\">N52.69804 E05.29024<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>After enjoying a quiet night at Hoorn we woke to another clear but cool morning in the Netherlands. &nbsp;We saw no need to linger in Hoorn, so coffee and fruit and we hit the road. &nbsp;The road network in The Netherlands is first class. &nbsp;It does not have the high speed autobahns of Germany, but the A and B roads are smooth, relatively wide and well marked. &nbsp;Round-abouts are rare, there are more traffic lights but they phase very quickly, so its all about timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Enkhuizen_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Parked on the marina in Enkhuizen. We arrive about 10am but you cannot book in until 12pm. But you can stay without paying for 5 hours, if you display a time of arrival tag. Some building and fitting are original, some other re-located from around the area.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Enkhuizen_11.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Established in 1983, the museum is in two parts the outdoor collection and the indoor demonstrations of arts and crafts.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Enkhuizen_12.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>It&#8217;s an interesting walk around despite the weather. Pam and I have looked at the smoke herrings in the markets but never tried them until today. Amazingly good, except your fingers smell for the next two days.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Enkhuizen_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"999\"\/><figcaption>One of the most amazing exhibits is the church re-built stone by stone and relocated to the museum. Dating back to the 16th century, you wouldn&#8217;t know it had not stood here the entire time.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Enkhuizen_20.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>It&#8217;s been a long afternoon at the museum and we wander back to the Hymer.
