{"id":6701,"date":"2017-07-18T06:17:58","date_gmt":"2017-07-18T06:17:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=6701"},"modified":"2019-05-21T07:41:52","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T21:41:52","slug":"pembrokeshire-coast-wales-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=6701","title":{"rendered":"Pembrokeshire Coast (part 1), Wales 2017 \ud83c\udff4\udb40\udc67\udb40\udc62\udb40\udc77\udb40\udc6c\udb40\udc73\udb40\udc7f"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Travelled: 103 kilometres from Aberystwyth to Moylegrove, Wales<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Visited: Mwnt beach and Church (free)<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Stayed: A small parking area near Moylegrove <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/i3fqhfgBcXYNgArWA\">N52.07734 W04.76184<\/a> (free) no services.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Driving down from Aberystwyth the weather was foul, rain and heavy mist. &nbsp;It made for a slow trip, the coast is on our right but you could not see it very often. &nbsp; We turn at Aberaeron and make our way up the hill to Llanerchaeron to visit a Castle only to find it doesn&#8217;t open until 1130. &nbsp;Not in the mood to sit in the Hymer in the rail for an hour we continue south. &nbsp;By the time we are approaching Cardigan the weather has cleared and patches of sunlight appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>We turn for the coast and Mwnt. &nbsp;Mwnt is not really a town or village but some scattered farms a campsite, but it does have a small church that dates back a thousand years with Y Foel Hill as its backdrop. &nbsp;Pembrokeshire is famous for its coastline and the Lonely Planet state Mwnt is worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mwnt_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Just your average B road in Wales.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mwnt_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>The Holy Cross Church at Mwnt.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mwnt_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Some part of the old church go back a thousand years but the roof etc is 14th century.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mwnt_4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Spot the Hymer photo from Y Foel Hill.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Mwnt_5.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Surfs up at Mwnt Beach. There were actually a couple of guys on boards trying to get a wave.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We have lunched visited the church and walked the hill, so its time to hit the road again. &nbsp;A quick bit of shopping in Cardigan, at the Aldi for milk and juice not to buy a cardi. &nbsp;We drive now looking for parking spot for the night. &nbsp;We hope for some better weather in the morning and the opportunity to walk a section of the Pembrokeshire walking path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Moylgrove_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We get lucky after seeing a Wildcamping spot on the GPS, we drive down a long narrow lane south of Molygrove. What a super spot, no through road most people leave before dusk. &nbsp;As good as wildcamping gets.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s late afternoon by the time we settle into our spot and have a quick look around.
