{"id":5857,"date":"2016-09-22T16:00:53","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T16:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=5857"},"modified":"2019-05-20T07:27:04","modified_gmt":"2019-05-19T21:27:04","slug":"ingolstadt-germany-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=5857","title":{"rendered":"Ingolstadt, Germany 2016 \ud83c\udde9\ud83c\uddea"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Travelled : 103 kilometres from Nuremberg to Ingolstadt, Bavaria.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visited : Ingolstadt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stayed : Ingolstadt Municipal Stellplatz, \u20ac5 including power, an \u20ac1 for water. &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/t4RomQaxwYB2\">N48.76016 &nbsp;E11.42013<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Concluding our visit to Nuremberg we put the bikes on the rack and got ready to depart. &nbsp;The Thule bike-lift rack has been a great purchase it&#8217;s now much easier to get the bikes both on and off, with a lot less actual lifting required. &nbsp;Anyway we head south and within a couple of minutes we are on the A9 autobahn. &nbsp;Most of the traffic appears to be heading north, but as the A9 is six lanes wide everything is moving along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its mostly open farmland with forest on the hill tops, but we keep an eye on the road. &nbsp;The cruise control is set on 100kph (using the GPS) we try to keep in the slow lane (far right) as much as possible and pass the trucks as need be. &nbsp;They seem to sit on 90-95kph on their speed limiters. &nbsp;However the traffic in the centre lane is doing 120-130 kph so they come up very quickly. &nbsp;The far left lane is what you need to be careful of. &nbsp;They move so quickly a dot in your mirror is a black BMW already gone past in a few seconds. &nbsp;At one stage yesterday on a long straight piece of road a Mercedes went past so fast, its engine screaming like something from formular 1. &nbsp;Backed off about 500-600 metres in front of us and a flash of yellow flame shot from the rear of the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We roll into Ingolstadt and soon find the stellplatz. &nbsp;Its still early afternoon and we get one of the last places, so its a popular place to stop. &nbsp;Ingolstadt is the site of the major Audi factory in Germany, but that&#8217;s not why where here. &nbsp;Ingolstadt is just halfway between Nuremburg and Munich and an hour or two of driving is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2951.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_2951-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Our shady little stellplatz in Ingolstadt. \u20ac5 with power is a bargain.
