Travelled : The Cape of Good Hope by private tour  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visited : Bo-Kaap, Signal Hill, Chapman\u2019s Peak Drive and Cape of Good Hope.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stayed : Pullman City Centre, Cape Town<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Up early as usual for a coffee followed by one of Pam\u2019s forced marches around the city. Some pictures below. Getting to know Cape Town fairly well now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of what seems to be the public transport here is by mini-buses, zooming here and there sounding their horns. This morning we found a hundred or more of them in this huge terminal above the railway station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My original plan was to hire a car to tour down to the Cape of Good Hope but for A$300 we get a car and driver, so this morning we get picked up at 9.30 and on our way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first stop is Bo-Kaap a small district of colourful houses in the Cape Malay Quarter. It\u2019s predominantly a Muslim area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The driver, Blessing keeps grabbing my phone and takes 50 photos of us all pretty well the same, so lots of deleting tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our second stop is Signal Hill on the edge of the city for a few photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in the car we drive the ritzy beach suburbs of Clifton and Camps Beach. Our 3rd stop is Hout Bay. We stop and watch the seals playing and have a coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The driver pays the toll and we continue south on Chapman\u2019s Peak Drive. It\u2019s a very scenic drive as the road hangs on the edge of the cliff for about 10 kilometres. The tollway concludes near Noordhoek with a spectacular view of the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We drive on to Simon\u2019s Town and the penguins. Another Rand200 pp (nearly A$20 each)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
