Travelled: 200 kms from Capella to Rolleston via Emerald  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visited: Emerald and Rolleston  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stayed: Rolleston CP, $37, S24.46471, E148.62291  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Budget: 48 days @ $XX per day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a relatively short 60+ kilometres from Capella to Emerald. We have booked two nights at Emerald Tourist Park. An unpowered site with CMCA discount it\u2019s $16 per night which is a bargain given its location and facilities, especially how expensive CPs are this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We settle in amongst the other grey nomads unload the bikes and go for a get to know the place ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emerald<\/a> is the largest town we\u2019ve passed through in a while boasting two Woolworths and a Coles. Finding the tourist office we get some suggestions and do some exploring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our second day slips past as easily as the first. Pam is hunting for a new something and all the shops get a once over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CP has entertainment from 5 till 6 at the fire pit on each night of our visit so we wander over with a drink and chat with whoever we find ourselves next to. First evening we chat away with a couple also travelling in a motorhome only to find they live at nearby Picnic Point not far from home. The pizza was excellent by the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
