{"id":3374,"date":"2015-09-01T03:47:49","date_gmt":"2015-09-01T03:47:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=3374"},"modified":"2019-05-16T05:49:39","modified_gmt":"2019-05-15T19:49:39","slug":"istanbul-part-2-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/?p=3374","title":{"rendered":"Istanbul (part 2), 2015 \ud83c\uddf9\ud83c\uddf7"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Travelled: The Hymer has continued resting under a tree, while we do the leg work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visited: Istanbul<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stay: Unchanged from part 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Another noisy night in the car park but we get a fairly good sleep all the same. &nbsp;The call to prayer at just after 5.15 am has us awake. &nbsp;As we are so close to the Sultanahmet we seem to feel it as well as hear it. &nbsp;After a couple of very busy days in mosques and museum we decide to take a cruise on the Bosphorus on day 3. &nbsp;This means a tram or a light rail if your a Sydneysider. &nbsp;We have met a couple of like minded New Zealanders parked across from us and we have organised a drink for tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/image284-e1441163957917.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/image284-e1441163957917-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"On board the ferry and ready to go. fun, like this fountain at one of the junctions. &nbsp;Suddenly the place started to fill with Americans and we knew it was time to bail.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div our best friends. &nbsp;The place is quite hilly and we always took the option of catching the tram up the hill while we would often walk down. &nbsp;If you purchase a swipe card for TL5 and just continually recharge as you need, its TL2.15 per journey, individual tokens cost TL4. &nbsp;So it a no brainer.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure
