Stayed: Aubusson Municipal Campsite, \u20ac15, N45.94640, E02.17620  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Budget: 48 days @ \u20ac88 per day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we sit out the Tour de France and a couple of hot days in Aubusson. The small municipal campsite provides us with shade all day, a view of the River Creuse and a short walk into town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aubusson<\/a> is not a touristy town, but it has some points of interest. It dates back to the 10th century under a variation of its current name. We walk into the centrum early before the heat takes hold (for Pam\u2019s 6 kms) and later we used the scooter and do a more extensive tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So our couple of days avoiding the tour and the hysteria done we will return to our travels in the morning. The forecast is another hot day and where tempted to stay put but it\u2019s a tour rest day tomorrow, so getting away early should have us past Limoges by morning tea and back to interesting villages and little traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
