Region of Trento, Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visited: &nbsp;The Val di Sole and the Brenta Dolomites.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stayed: &nbsp;Lake Terlago, free car-park, just a bin.  <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/mavs1SjjiSacsfVZ6\">N46.09626, E11.05488<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Budget: &nbsp;113 days @ \u20ac92 per day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than the odd clanging of a cow bell, it was a quiet evening in Castelfondo. &nbsp;We did hear the wind blowing at first light, but thought nothing more of it. &nbsp;By coffee time the wind has blown yesterday\u2019s mist out of the valley below and we have a crystal clear view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Castelfondo_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Yesterday evenings mist have been replaced by clear skies.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Castelfondo_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Mind you it\u2019s much colder this morning. &nbsp;Our first chilli morning for 2018.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We have coffee and breakfast planning our day. &nbsp;The Lonely Planet recommends the drive down the Val di Sole (SS43 and SS42), then turn down through the Brenta Dolomites (SS239) south to Lake Garda. &nbsp;However we have a couple of days to kill, so we will take a detour for Trento instead of Garda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Val_di_Sole_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>For the first 30 minutes we drive apple orchards, then more apple orchards. But a lovely drive all the same. We set the GPS for a free stop on the lake at Terlago.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Terlago_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Despite the GPS trying to remove both the side mirrors and almost giving Pam a stroke, we find the lake.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Terlago_6.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>We find ourselves a nice level spot, with a view of the lake.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our little car-park is only 10 klms from Trento, so it will be easy to pop in there for a visit tomorrow. &nbsp;Pam insists on a walk around the lake before drinks, so we take a 30 minute walk. &nbsp;There is a cable ski park on the lake, a few young people provide entertainment whilst we have a drink and prepare dinner. &nbsp;Another day just slips by&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael and Pam<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"bpp_credits\" style=\"clear: both; float: right; width: 200px; height: 70px; text-align: right;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blogpadpro.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"vertical-align: middle; font-size: 8pt; color: #999;\">Edited with BlogPad Pro<\/span><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"vertical-align: middle; padding-left: 5px;\" src=\"http:\/\/files.blogpadpro.com\/images\/speech-bubble.png\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\"><\/figure><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Date: &nbsp;24th September 2018 Travelled: &nbsp;98 kms from Castelfondo to Terlago.
