It\u2019s not in our guide book but sounds interesting so we give it a go.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/LEcot_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\"\/><figcaption>We find the carpark and a sign \u2018stating 1 hour to L\u2019Ecot. It\u2019s a good uphill walk following the river and it takes the full hour.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/LEcot_3.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>A little sweaty but no worse for the walk, this is what we find a lovely village of old stone and slab houses. &nbsp;Mostly vacant but there are two cafes amongst them.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/LEcot_4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Pam relaxes whilst I catch my breath in the shadow of the chapel, of course L\u2019Ecot has a little chapel.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/LEcot_7.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Looking down on the chapel and the village of L\u2019Ecot. &nbsp;Your not going to find this view in Bali are you !<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Brian\u00e7on_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Back in the Hymer we have a coffee and continue south on the D902. Turning for Lac (lake) du Mont Cenis we start the long drive out of the French alps down into Italy. This is a particularly hard drive. It is so long (about 20 kilometres) and steep the Hymer would not hold second gear and I was constantly on the brakes.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Susa_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>Finally at the Italian town of Susa, (this is the best photo I could find and fairly ordinary), we turn for Brian\u00e7on and start to wind our way back up into France re-joining the Route des Grandes Alpes<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/michaelandpamstravels.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Brian\u00e7on_2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>As we drive down into Brian\u00e7on we can see 2-3 fortress on the ridge tops.
