We had gone to bed the evening before adjusting our clocks forward by an hour. It would appear Mexico has daylight savings. At 6.30 it’s still very dark but the coast on our port side is scattered with lights. As we are in port today, we start a little earlier than usual with a cappuccino in the Cafe, an hour in the gym and then on to the Trellis Restaurant for breakfast. Cabo San Lucas comes into view during breakfast and the Infinity sets anchor as we return to our room.<\/p>\n

We have tickets for the first tender, it’s a bit of a rush but we make it. The weather is overcast, very warm with dark clouds on the hills in the distance. Hurricane Miriam has passed us by 24 hours before, it’s now a tropical depression. \u00a0CSL is a tourist town with lots of resorts along its beaches, lots of shops, some very upmarket, most just local souvenir shops and taverns. We cannot make ourselves have a tequila at 10 am so we pass on by. It seems to rain quite suddenly every 30 minutes or so, but we manage a bit of cover and stay relatively dry.<\/p>\n

After a few hours, the heavens open and it teems down. The gutters fill, the streets fill, some of the shops fill. It would appear at a glance that a storm water system has not been a priority. It’s all part of the fun, we manage to jump a taxi and keep ourselves relatively dry. It’s Infinity time ! \u00a0Half an hour later, where back on board, a lovely lunch and a soak in the spa, that’s cruising ! Time check, yes we can fit in a quick nap before happy hour.
