Other than the odd clanging of a cow bell, it was a quiet evening in Castelfondo. We did hear the wind blowing at first light, but thought nothing more of it. By coffee time the wind has blown yesterday’s mist out of the valley below and we have a crystal clear view.
We have coffee and breakfast planning our day. The Lonely Planet recommends the drive down the Val di Sole (SS43 and SS42), then turn down through the Brenta Dolomites (SS239) south to Lake Garda. However we have a couple of days to kill, so we will take a detour for Trento instead of Garda.
Our little car-park is only 10 klms from Trento, so it will be easy to pop in there for a visit tomorrow. Pam insists on a walk around the lake before drinks, so we take a 30 minute walk. There is a cable ski park on the lake, a few young people provide entertainment whilst we have a drink and prepare dinner. Another day just slips by…
